Version 1.5 -- 11-September-1998 We've also improved the Retouch facility, so that you can adjust the saturation of individual colors. And to cap it all, we've speeded up the image handling. 14-August-98 - IrDA support for the QV-770 allows you to use the built-in infra-red port to transfer images to the PC. And Dial-Up Networking support now means that QV-AutoCam can connect-to and disconnect-from the Internet when it needs to send a picture. This makes it much easier to set up a WebCam which takes pictures fairly infrequently (e.g. every hour). 17-July-98 QV-AutoCam now supports the new QV-5000SX megapixel camera for all basic functions, and now MiniMovies as well. You can play MiniMovies directly (either from CAM or JPEG files). Orientation is handled correctly so that you can make portrait or landscape movies. You can save your movies in AVI format. You can also make MiniMovies (animated clips) from a set of single pictures. For example, you could use a series of AutoCam time-delay pictures to create time-lapse photography, or you can make an animation using the "take-a-picture, move-it-a-bit, take-a-picture, move-it-a-bit" technique. QV-AutoCam lets you save these animations in standard AVI format. (see here for some samples) We have included a new Connection Wizard to help you get your camera connected. Most of the time getting connected is not a problem, but with PCs being the way they are, there are times that a bit of help is needed. Version 1.4 was released on 3rd June 1998. New in version 1.4:
